Keiran has recently joined the Farra family as our Quantity Surveyor and has a wealth of knowledge. He has worked in the mining industry as a Drafter, in a light engineering workshop as a Project Co-Ordinator and in the residential construction industry as an Estimator. To top it all off Keiran has his Masters in Project Management.
One of Keiran's favourite projects has been working with the team creating a Schindler Lift Platform Cage. It allowed him more time on the floor experiencing the Farra workshop team environment and he enjoyed seeing the project coming together.
Keiran's top tip is to always look for work that you enjoy doing otherwise you'll never be happy and that is what he likes most about working at Farra, he has the opportunity to work alongside people that enjoy what they do.
When not at work you will find Keiran enjoying the outdoors camping, trekking, swimming and diving.
Carolyn can be found in the Main Office here at Farra Engineering. With experience in administration roles from working at the Freezing Works and Farmers department store, Carolyn fit in well at Farra and has been with us for 22 years. Working as our Finance Supervisor, Carolyn enjoys the challenges and variety that working at Farra offers, as no two days are the same.
Carolyn's top tips are:

Outside of work Carolyn is involved in sports (all kinds of sports) and running around after the kids. She also has a house in Kurow which the family visits as often as possible.
Liam started with the Farra Engineering Team near the end of 2018 and is our IT Support Officer. He is the go-to person to manage users, ensure operating systems are working, and hardware is set up correctly.
In his role, Liam enjoys being a problem solver and finding solutions to improve the IT experiences at Farra.

Liam is working towards gaining his bachelor in IT and is currently in his second year of study so in his spare time he is mainly studying. He also enjoys cycling and is learning Spanish.
Hope is our Marketing and Communication Co-Ordinator. Prior to coming to Farra, Hope worked in the construction industry for five years as an office / project/ heath and safety administrator, working out on a number of project sites from Invercargill to Christchurch.
At Farra, Hope will be utilising her Bachelor of English to help produce a stronger online presence and will be working on creating content for our website and social media platforms, as well as generating internal templates with our new branding.
Outside of work Hope is an avid gym goer - working on beating her personal bests, enjoys gaming, and relaxing with her partner.
Ben is our Procurement Engineer and he is a new recruit to Farra Engineering. With a degree in Chemical Engineering, a Diploma in Mechanical Engineering and his previous experience working as a Production Planner and Production & Inventory Controller in machine shops in New Zealand and in the Philippines, he has made a great addition to our Procurement Team.
His favourite aspect of working within the Farra Team is being able to solve problems and get results.
When not at work, Ben enjoys playing chess and loves running to unwind.
Stef has recently started at Farra as our new HR Administrator and Payroll Office. She isn't your typical administrator though, Stef has a background in Law, with 4 years' experience as a lawyer before turning her attention towards working in the financial advisory sector and then on to starting a family.
Being back in the working world in the Farra office environment has Stef excited to start building relationships with the team and to provide them with HR and payroll support.
Her top tip is to always makes sure there is coffee...because with coffee anything is achievable.
Outside of work Stef appreciates spending time with her family, traveling locally and further afield, and does enjoy the odd beverage.
Debs has joined our administration team in the Main Office at Farra. With experience as sole charge of accounts for an Auckland based construction company and eight and a half years' experience in Accounts Payable at Calder Stewart, Debs is an excellent addition to the team.
In her role she enjoys working with numbers and computers, and interacting with people.
When not at work Debs loves spending time with her two grand kids, Sophie and Archer, and very much enjoys crocheting, knitting, and swimming.
Based in our Christchurch Office, Russell is our Business Development Manager working towards expanding our Business Development Capabilities in the Canterbury region. With a Bachelor in Mechanical Engineering and experience as a Hydraulic Sales Engineer he brings a range of skills to his current role within the Farra team.
Russell's role is customer focused, working to build new business opportunities while maintaining existing relationships and he enjoys the share scale and variety of projects that he helps to bring into the Farra workshops.
Outside of the Farra office Russell is passionate about Motorsports and is currently renovating his 100-year-old house. Eight months into renovations and there seems to be no end in sight.
