Engineering Design
Engineering Design offers a comprehensive service to the engineering industry. Our team of IPENZ chartered engineers specialise in design, drafting, product development and mechanical engineering support. From solution identification and advisory to concept design and development, we are realising the unrealised.
Machining
Arguably New Zealand’s largest capacity machine shop providing a diverse range of leading-edge mechanical, production and on-site solutions. We are able to complete technically challenging jobs that others cannot. Our impressive array of CNC and manual machines, in both lathes and milling, enable us to deliver fitting, jobbing (large and small), production machining, prototyping and heat treatment projects.
Stainless
Farra has emerged as a leading manufacturer for all stainless requirements with a dedicated stainless operation serviced by high technology welding equipment, backed up with guillotines, presses, knuckling and flanging machines and a wide range of grinding and polishing equipment. Farra produces high-quality products ready for installation, including storage tanks and silos that hold some of New Zealand’s most well-known dairy, wine and beer brands.
Sheetmetal
Working with a variety of metals, aluminium, brass, copper, steel and stainless steel, we produce a huge range of products and componentry. Our sheet metal operations have the largest array of machinery across the South Island. Supported by 24 hours a day production, we design and deliver innovative solutions on time and with competitive pricing.
Precision Engineering
Shaping brilliance to within hundredths of a millimetre, we are your machining partner of choice. We specialise in high precision engineering and design for manufacturing & assembly services. Precision and fine tolerance production precision to general tolerance of ISO 2768:1989 and engineering with ISO 9001:2015 certification providing you further piece of mind.
Lift, Access & Hoist
We are specialised in designing and manufacturing lift, access, and hoist equipment and solutions for any 'Lift, Lower or Move' application. We have created safe access solutions for the toughest places - above and below ground. Where safety is paramount, we have developed an enviable reputation for creative and practical solutions that meet the needs of our customers - balancing aesthetics with performance and compliance in a cost-competitive manner.
Powder Coating & Finishing
With the latest technology in automatic painting, and an integrated overhead track system our team can cater for needs of traditional paint, powder coat and batch curing. Our in-house powder coating and finishing team ensure your goods are coated and ready for installation upon delivery. If its metal, we can powder coat it!
Project Management
Enthusiastic and experienced Project Managers ensure that projects, whether large or small, are run on schedule and on budget. We can provide web-based project updates, on location expertise and complete project management from conception to post-installation service and maintenance.
Service & Maintenance
Our team are as adept out in the field as they are in the workshop. We currently help maintain a wide range of industries including energy, mining, dairy, meat processing, food and beverage, manufacturing, and wastewater treatment plants both domestically and aboard. We not only support the installation process but also undertake repairs, refits, and routine maintenance to ensure your machinery keeps on running.
