With the prospect of Provincial Growth Funding making its way down South, it is a very exciting time for development in the Otago Region. We were honoured to be able to showcase what the Engineering Sector in Dunedin can achieve.

Our guests toured our Fabrication and Machining workshops learning more about the large-scale projects completed in house; including the Material Transfer Unit, the first of its kind in New Zealand. The unit will help to transfer building materials up and down a cliff face in Queenstown and will be installed later this year.

It is great to see senior ministers take a genuine interest in the blue collar jobs that keep New Zealand's most important assets operating.

Talking with Mr Jones throughout the workshop tour we heard more about other regional Provincial Growth Fund projects that have recently been announced and we look forward to finding out more about what is in store for Dunedin in the future.
