UNITED KINGDOM WORKING HOLIDAY VISA IN NZ

Applying for a visa is relatively easy. There's a few questions you need to answer and a fairly straight forward process to providing evidence. This visa helps young people from United Kingdom come to New Zealand. In a nutshell you can apply for this visa if you’re a citizen of the United Kingdom, if you’re between 18 and 30 (or 35 for some countries), are from one of the 30+ eligible countries and you have at least NZ $350 to live on for each month of your stay. While you’re here, you can work (or study) while you enjoy your holiday.

If you choose a 12-month visa and if you decide you want to stay longer to holiday and explore, you can apply later for the balance of the 23-month period. You can’t bring children with you on a working holiday. If you have a partner who wants to come to, they’ll need to apply for their own visa.

The application process requires you to :

  • Provide proof of your identity, be in good health, be of good character and genuinely intend to meet the conditions of your visa.
  • Demonstrate that you only intend to stay in NZ temporarily, are coming here for a lawful purpose, will comply with the conditions of your visa after you arrive, will not stay in without:
    • A valid visa, and are able to leave at the end of your stay.
    • Be a first timer to NZ and not have had approval for a NZ Working Holiday Visa before.
