Farra Building Maintenance Units

Farra Access responds to the often complex challenges of contemporary architecture with a unique line up of reliable and elegant Building Maintenance Units.

Farra computer controlled BMUs' install permanently on the building's rooftop and allow operators to safely and precisely negotiate to within arm's reach of the entire exterior of high rise buildings.

Farra also supplies portable equipment and many ancillary services.

The Modular System

Every Farra BMU comprises a cage, hoist, jib and traverser module. There are numerous module options to choose from, all with enhanced S and R series options.

Farras unique modular system allows an almost infinite degree of customisation.

Farra Pit Maintenance Units

Farra Access supplies quality, robust, effective and safe access solutions for carbon bake pits in aluminium smelters.

Farra Pit Maintenance Units are designed with paramount consideration to safety and ergonomics. They are a safe, ergonomic and sensible solution for maintaining carbon bake pits in aluminium smelters. The PMU provides access to an entire bank of kiln pits. The entire PMU can be relocated quickly between banks using an existing overhead crane.

The Modular System

Every Farra PMU comprises a cage, hoist, crab and gantry and rails.

The cage module is the suspended workspace, the hoist moves the cage up and down the furnace wall, the crab and gantry move it over the pit and the rails support the platform by spanning the pits. Modules may be reconfigured to achieve a PMU solution that best suits your needs.

Innovative Farra Solutions

Farra Access design and construction meets the needs of industry with engineering excellence and innovation.

Farra Building Access Units are in action worldwide and range from sophisticated smaller "out of the box" units to large scale custom designed machines.
