Farra have been designing and manufacturing micro breweries since 1984 and we have numerous installations throughout New Zealand and Australia, including the award winning Emerson’s Brewery in Dunedin.
We have design packages in place to manufacture complete breweries ranging in size from 1,200L to 5,000L though we can go larger than this if required. We have found the 1,200L plant to be the most popular choice for those entering the market. We can either supply single vessels or as is often the case, the complete turnkey solution - designed, manufactured, installed and if required, fully commissioned.
Our breweries are made in our Dunedin based Farra Stainless workshop and are designed using the powerful 3D CAD system, Solid Edge®, enabling the client to view exactly what the end result will look like. Once the design is finalised our experienced team of tradesmen set to work turning the plans into a working brewery.
During construction the separate vessels are placed in position in our workshop as they would be on location. This allows us to fabricate appropriate walkways/platforms and to install the pumps, pipe work and electrical requirements. The brewery is run from a centrally positioned electrical control panel which monitors and controls the pumps, motors and vessel heating.
Once complete the system is tested, disassembled, packed and transported to site for final installation. If required we can also commission the brewery and provide full staff training as we have a Master Brewer who works with us on a consultancy basis.
